Assemble at Uwinka/Cyamudongo reception as early as 5:30am for briefing about chimpanzee tracking regulations and allocation of park guides. Exit the briefing point for actual search for chimpanzee community and expect to spend 2-5 hours navigating through the lush Nyungwe Forest and steep slopes.

Today’s chimp trek allows you to interact closely with chimpanzee community, observe the daily behaviors of these apes and take pictures. The trek with chimps also comes with great views of other primates including silver monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, olive baboons, and colobus monkeys, etc.
